Child Safety Standards
These are the child safety standards of Chatline 1980 Tribute, the Android live chat app published on Google Play by Tecworks. They apply to everybody who uses the app and to everything written in it.
Zero tolerance. Chatline 1980 Tribute prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. Accounts involved are removed and, where the law requires or allows it, reported to the competent authorities.
1. What is prohibited
- Any content that sexualizes minors, including text, links to images or videos, and descriptions.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or links to it, or requests for it.
- Grooming: contacting a minor to gain their trust for sexual purposes, asking a minor for personal data, photos, meetings or contacts outside the app.
- Sextortion, trafficking, and any other form of child sexual exploitation.
- Promoting, normalizing or joking about any of the above.
2. Age requirement
Chatline 1980 Tribute is a chat with people you don't know. Users must be at least 16 years old: this is part of the chat rules every user accepts before using the app. Accounts that appear to belong to younger children are removed.
3. How to report a child safety concern
- In the app: hold the user's name on the list for 3 seconds, choose REPORT, then CHILD SAFETY. The report reaches the moderators together with the last messages you received from that user. You can also block the user from the same menu.
- By email: write to jitec@katamail.com with the username and what happened.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
4. What we do
- Child safety reports are reviewed with the highest priority.
- Accounts involved in CSAE are locked out of the chat at once, and the related content is removed.
- Where we become aware of CSAM or of a child at risk, we report it to the competent authorities, including the Italian Postal and Communications Police (Polizia Postale e delle Comunicazioni, through the commissariatodips.it portal) and, where applicable, the NCMEC CyberTipline, and we preserve the relevant data as required by law.
- The chat has a word filter, an anti-spam system and moderators who can watch conversations, kick and lock out accounts. Moderation data is kept as described in the privacy policy.
5. Compliance with the law
Tecworks complies with the child safety laws that apply to Chatline 1980 Tribute, including Italian and European Union law, and cooperates with law enforcement requests.
